The Hunger Church: Be Nourished, Go Nourish

Appalachia

APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT - 2019

Can you Give May 8 – 11 for Home Repair in Appalachia?

This was our 2018 3-church volunteer team at one of the two porches we built.

Try out this heart-warming way of fulfilling your commitment to serving God and make a difference for a struggling family. The Hunger church, Charles Wesley, will be sending a small team on a short mission trip to the Guyan Valley, WV, where we have worked before. We’ll be staying in Brenton, Wyoming County, at https://www.asphome.org/centers/wvguyanvalley/.

We'll be doing home repair projects with the Appalachia Service Project (ASP). See more at out https://www.asphome.org/about. We'll leave Wednesday morning, work with an experienced team leader Thursday and Friday and Saturday morning, and return early Saturday evening. People age 14 & older of all skill levels are welcome as long as space is available.

Can’t come? We need supporters to pray for and/or donate toward this trip & a full-week one in July. While volunteers cover most of their own expenses, the church covers most transportation costs and some team supplies. Contact Tylee Smith, Coordinator: tylees@verizon.net or text 703-598-7126 or come to a Q & A session on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at 12 noon in the Disciples room.
